Known by many as DFW's Darling Diva, her interactive, cabaret-styled performance ranges from straight-ahead to funk-infused jazz. Bishop Avenue Hot SIX formed in December of 2019 with the sole purpose of preserving an American art form known as early jazz. Consisting of trumpet, clarinet, trombone, piano, upright bass and drums, the bands goal is to stay as authentic as possible while keeping the band stage hot with not only styles from New Orleans, but to also include Chicago, New York and San Francisco styles as well. The band is inspired by the likes of Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong and his Hot 5 (and 7), Bix Beiderbecke, Turk Murphy to name a few. Cocktails and feet tapping! 21 & up only. During his four decades long career, Saxophonist, Joe Henderson played with many of the leading American players of his day and recorded for several prominent labels, including Blue Note, Milestone, Contemporary Records and Verve. Recording with Horace Silver, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard and Lee Morgan, to name a few. 8pm. As always 21 & up.

Saxophonist Quamon Fowler has been honing his craft most of his life. He was mentored by legendary clarinetist Alvin Batiste, performing in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, sparking the release of his debut album "Introducing Quamon Fowler". He was selected as a Panasonic Young Soloist, later performing at the Kennedy Center, and joined the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program. His composition The Reinforcement received recognition from the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Awards, further cementing his path. Quamon won the North American Saxophone Alliance Jazz Competition, toured with legends like Curtis Fuller and James Moody, and secured 3rd place in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition. Starting with his work with Linda Ronstadt and Nelson Riddle in the 1980s to Red and the Red Hots in the 90s at Caravan of Dreams, The Derby and the Queen Mary in LA to Red Young and His Hot Horns from 2016 in Austin, Red Young has always had a love of swinging and jazzy horn bands. Since the mid 1980s he has written, arranged and performed more than 200 of his works with this band. Featuring Red on piano, organ and vocals with drums, bass and 5 horns, he has been writing and directing this band through 40 years of performances and brings his sense of jazz, blues and many different elements of his long career into the music performed. Red is taking his voice and music back to his hometown, to Scat Jazz Lounge, for two shows and one unforgettable night of music. 21 & up only.
